=>It was adopted by Constituent Assembly on July 22,1947.Ratio of width to length is 2:3 having three bands of equal width, lowest is green, middle one is white and saffron is the color at the top. A wheel is at the centre of the flag of navy blue color having 24 spokes.Madam Bhikaji Cama was the first to unfuri the tri-color at an international body.
